Counselling gives people the opportunity for people to explore themselves within a wholly accepting environment. My role as a counsellor is explore it alongside you offering non-judgemental support, not to direct or inform you about yourself. From my own experience as a client I know that counselling can be both extremely rewarding and challenging and that my role as a counsellor is to be with you throughout.
I am currently a trainee counsellor since 2017 and I am a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This is the body who set out the ethical framework for counselling professions which I work within. I have attended various trainings on gender, relationship and sexual diversity as run by Timeout.
