I follow the person- centred approach to counselling. I truly believe that we are always working towards being the best versions of ourselves. However, I know that sometimes difficult life events can cause feelings of uncertainty and make us question the fundamental aspects of who we are.
When this happens, it can be scary and overwhelming but you don’t have to deal with these feelings alone. My role is to walk alongside you, offering you with a warm and non- judgemental space where you can freely process your thoughts and feelings in a way that is comfortable to you. I will listen to you and aim to hear you. I feel the power of being truly heard is often overlooked.
By talking about your unfiltered experiences, with time, you may be able to find answers to the questions you have.
I am currently a trainee counsellor at Keele University, expected to qualify in January. I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
